Dependable Used Cars 10300 Old Seward Hwy Anchorage, AK 99515 This is by far the most dishonest business establishment I've ever encountered. Incident = I was relocating to Alaska. I found a car on craigslist, the pictures looked great. I called about the vehicle, spoke with Brian, asked questions. When satisfied with the answers, I put a non-refundable deposit down for him to hold the vehicle for me. When I arrived and sat down in the vehicle, I saw about 6 major cracks in the windshield all the way across. The windshield was completely unusable. When I confronted Brian, he stated "everyone in Alaska has a cracked windshield, you'll see", and refused to take anything off of the price. I felt he had purposefully withheld this information from me and knew he had me backed into a corner. Since the purchase I have found multiple malfunctions that he had temporarily patched up for the sell. The back hatch doesn't open, there's no spare tire mount (he threw a filthy spare tire in the back), the fuel gauge is faulty, the center console is jacked up so that the vehicle is always in power drive, the heater makes noise, the cd player doesn't work, there's a blown speaker, and that's just what I've noticed with no mechanical inspection. Damage Resulting = I paid way more for this vehicle than I should have, and will never sell it, with these defects, for anything near what I paid.
