Terrible Service, Rude Staff
I went in to find some materials and creative ways to ease the transition of moving across the country for my 3 year old daughter. I wanted to buy a dry erase map of the United States my daughter could draw on so we could talk about the different locations of our current house and the house we are moving to (which they were out of). I also wanted to have a calendar we could write on and mark off days until our move (which they had, and I purchased). I pretty much knew what I was looking for, but thought to ask the staff if they happened to have anything regarding moving and the response I got was shocking. It wasn’t exactly the information she gave me, it was the manner in which she delivered it. She was rude and condescending. She told me flat out, “NO. The bookstores, like Barns and Nobles, have books on that kind of thing.” She had the most irritated expression on her face as if I was an *** for even asking such a question. I told her I knew the book stores had literature and we had already bought several books and also rented several from the library. I just figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask because maybe they had an activity book or something interactive addressing the issue of moving from one place to another for children. I could not believe how rude the clerk was. Needless to say, I will NEVER shop there again. And since I’m moving, fortunately I won’t have to! I am not the kind of person who typically rants and raves, however, in this situation I felt compelled to share my experience.
