Terrible service for 1 A&B packages

1

Ten (10) of my friends and I went together for Hajj with Dar el Salam in 2014. Their pre-hajj preparations, education and communications were above average. But thinks started breaking down once you stay in Ajijia, Mina, Arafat and Mozdalefa. Here are our experiences: 1. Ajijia apartments were much below expectations and much lower than what they described. The area is like a 3rd word country. Bathrooms in the apartments were terrible - wet bathrooms, food were same almost every day (we had to stay 4 days there before going to Mina), sometimes the food was stale, most important matter is that after one or two days we were not able to go to Haram for prayers, buses could not go and were not available. 2. Mina tent did not have proper air conditioning and did not function well. Since we were in the lower package we were not provided with water sprinklers, the bathrooms were really bad and crowded. The food was again catered from the same vendor and monotonous. 3. At Arafat our tent was at one corner of the Arafat (the same at Mozdalefa), none of us had a glimpse of the big Ummah's presence. We all missed that. The terrible part was that 4 of the 6 air conditioners were broken and the tent was very hot; food was not enough for the lunch, later at around 4:00 pm leftover food from other tents were given to us. 4. They led us to Mozdalefa at the last and late, everybody had to go before us because we were in a low priority paid packages (1 A/B). That resulted in no space other than just sitting at Mozdalefa. We end-up at a place under a highway, next to a bus depot and garbage dumps. That was terrible. 5. Back to Mina some of Dar el Salam group leaders were not transparent (or fully truthful) regarding the availability of buses to go to Haram for Tawaf-e-Effada. 6. We went to Madina by road after the Hajj. They had 7 buses for our group, 4 of these 7 busses broke down on the way. Some of us had to wait under the open sky for hours for rescue busses to arrive. The temperature was probably at around 95degrees. 7. Sorry to say that we all felt treated like a third class customers of Dar el Salam. This is a shame. The group leaders (all volunteers) worked very hard, but some of them failed to behave professionally - arrogant. 8. There is limit to our patients (Saboor) and clearly Dar-el-Salam was taking advantage to that. I have used Dar-el-Salam services twice before and never found them this discriminating. My sincere advice to all brothers and sisters, please do not choose Dar el Salam's packages 1 A/B for Hajj. They provided very poor service and facilities to people of this package. There were more than 300 Hujjaj in our group who bought packages 1 A/B. May Allah (SWT) forgive us all and keep us honest and truthful.
