Stolen minutes and lost phone number

A week ago my battery in a 6 mo. old tracphone went dead. I called and there was no problem to send a new phone. When I got the phone I had to Activate. During this process they lost my number and assigned a new one. They took 870 min from the old phone and had the nerve to tell me my phone would be deactivated if I didn't buy new minutes the next day. I asked for a supervisor same story except he said I could write them and maybe get my minutes back. I told him that this sounded like robbery. He and the two "customer service" people (I am not generally prejudiced) were speaking a version of English not native to this continent.
