Update by user Jan 05, 2020 Was contacted by Assistant GM, Derek Lily, who offered a sincere apology, gathered further info, and stated that they would be sending me a gift card, to compensate me for our poor service Update by user Jan 05, 2020 To whom it may concern,On Friday, December 3, my husband , daughter and I had lunch at the Worthington, Ohio Buca location. It was the worst experience we’ve had with this location.1. The manager on duty at the host desk, was as about as unfriendly as he could be. Despite the fact that the Parking lot had only about 10 cars in a it, and based on the huge number of tables , that were empty, and no one else in the lobby.... he acted as if he had no tables available, in which to seat us.2. I am diabetic. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was not feeling very well. I checked my blood sugar and I was Hypoglycemic, and my blood sugar was 60, and it was dropping. Unfortunately, I had not glucose tablets with me. When Our female server came to the table to get our drink orders, I explained that my blood sugar was very low and that I QUICKLY NEEDED TO get some carbs in my system, or it could become a medical emergency. I ordered a Pepsi and requested some immediate bread to help get my blood sugar back to a normal place. She stated that she could not give me a piece of bread because as of Jan 1st bread orders go in with the food order. I again explained it was a medical need and she still refused to give me bread. ....... are you freaking kidding me??? She also didn’t offer crackers, applesauce or any other alternatives and acted like she she couldn’t have cared less about my medical situation. When the food came out, she finally brought bread and it clearly was not a new order that was put in with our food order. It was one small loaf for 3 people and was cold and hard. When we asked for a refill on the bread, she stated she could only refill it once. She had a security guard attitude of being rule enforcer and that it was skin off her nose if she added 1 extra bread loaf. PS... she never brought use our 1 allowed refill 4.we ordered 3 separate lunch entrees plus drinks, and our bill was approximately $54 on food. The service was *** and if finances are so tight you can offer bread to your customers, then shut your doors. Someone paying that kind of money, should be able to expect more. I hate to say it but failing to assist a diabetic in crisis is not in following the American Disabilities Act, is in humane and at the least poor service. I doubt we will be back, which is a shame some we usually drive from Lancaster, Ohio , 40 minutes away 3-4 time a month, to eat there.
