My father passed away and had a life insurance policy with AIG. The company paid the face value of the policy. However there were substantial paid up additions that they won't release. My father repeatedly stayed that he rolled over dividends to buy paid up additions and that amount would be added to the police's face value. Customer service says that the beneficiaries are not entitled to it but can tell me why. They told me to submit a request for an inquiry which I did. I called customer service a few weeks later to find out the disposition and was told they basically ignored the request because the policy was "paid". This is a disgusting company that everyone should avoid like the plague User's recommendation: Stay away from this company.
