Concerning 991 Homes! I don't think anyone ever owns their home with them in the end! Their "Rent to Own" with their program is one big scam! "Buyer Beware" you could lose all the money you put down and you will be making HIGH payments on the property way more than if you would have just rented a home like I should have. When we first met Gill, he told us we have the right to re-sell the property- or our "Rent to Own contract" if we choose to at any time. But only the first buyer can sell once! ---- we thought it best to sell when so much crime was happening blocks from or home. So after a year and a 1/2 of making $1500 payments (on a $900 rental home)and $4500 down payment and 1000s of dollars in upgrades we had done to the home thinking we could sell the property and make some money. We informed Gil we were selling. Our Agent after reading the contract told us the fine print says, Gill the sales man was the first RENT TO OWN buyer on paper---So what we were told to get us to sign the contract was one big lie, we could not sell the home and it was all a scam to get us to sign. We moved out and lost thousands of dollars. But before we could move our things out of the home Gil brought a new buyer over to see the property. The buyer told us he was putting $10,000 down on the property. (All because of the work I did to the property did they get so much down payment.) I fixed and replaced doors and replaced broken windows and painted. What I could not understand is how could Gil sell the property again and I could not???? ONE BIG SCAM!
