Re : AAA Japanese Imports Faulty Engine // Credit Card Fraud In January of 2012 I purchased an engine from AAA Japanese Imports. The agreed upon price as clearly revealed by emails (I have the email file revealing this ) was to be $695 including shipping , tax and core. The engine had a One year warranty. The engine was received and my certified mechanic installed and tested it and noted a leak in the block (Cracked block) I contacted AAA Japanese Imports numerous times . They delayed and delayed picking the engine up until June . Engine was sent back and I waited some time and never heard another word nor received a replacement engine from AAA Japanese imports. I finally contacted BBB (which by the way is totally useless – they let the owner decide on their case ) to file a complaint and this is when I learned from AAA Japanese imports that they were not sending an engine back. They would have actually let me sit for months longer waiting they didn’t even have the courtesy to contact me indicating that they were not sending a new engine ! A long discussion occurred on the BBB site with the owner of AAA Japanese Imports and the logic and lying that she utilized was alarming to say the least (See below) Unfortunately because of AAA Japanese imports delay in picking up the engine my credit card company indicated that I was over the time limit to file a complaint (AAA Japasnese Imports knew exactly what they were doing). I have filed complaints with NYS Attorney General and Texas Attorney General The seller Dina from AAA Japanese imports committed credit card fraud. She charged my CC $995 when the agreed upon price was $695 yet no one seems interested in the fact that a crime was committed ie : Discover , NYS Attorney General and Texas Attorney General) I did not realize she had overcharged my cc until such time that I realized I was not getting an engine or a refund. IN my discussion on the BBB site she alleged that the engine block failed because the care was driven “many miles.” My mechanic has mileage records revealing the mileage when the car was taken in vs now – there was less than on mile put on the car when he tested the engine and the car is still there one year later . However, even if the car was driven many miles (which it was not) the engine is suppose to have a one year warranty! The fact that she tried to use this argument tells you how dishonest the owner of AAA Japanese Imports is – How can you say your engines have a one year warranty and then say that the engine failed because it was driven too many miles ? In summary : 1.) Sellers actions reveal poor intent with customer - there was no direct notification of any problems with the returned engine until such time that the buyer instituted a complaint. 2.) Buyers Mechanics recorded mileage refutes sellers statement that the car was driven "many miles" 3,) Buyers Mechanics pictures refute AAA Japanese Imports owner description of the engine and pump 4.) Total charge for the engine including shipping, tax and core charges was to be $695 as evidenced by retained emails yet the customers credit card was charged $995 - necessitating an investigation for credit card fraud 5.) Product was purchased with the assurance of a one year warranty 6.) Total damages due $995 + $505 mechanics fees = $1500
