Prior to a vacation I had to use their website to let them know my travel plans, the site is not intuitive and once I entered my plans I had to delete and reenter. 7 days into my vacation they locked my account, I had to call them to unlock the account which took 19 minutes and cost me $76 for the international call. The bank gave me 4 different reasons for locking my account - ALL FOR MY PROTECTION. I argued that I want to be reimbursed for the call - after several calls and escalations they called back and said they do not do refunds. My problem is that you must use the online system, they no longer take this information in person at the local branch, I did what I was supposed to do but they said that since I entered the info, deleted it and reentered it minutes later it raised a red flag and they locked the account. Here is a problem, I used the card several times during that scheduled vacation and when I was out of the country they denied the card. Without my debit card the only course I have for cash is to carry it or to get travelers checks (at a cost). they tried to sell me a credit card to use instead of the debit card but then they would charge me a 'cash advance' fee when I need to get cash. Now I am out $76.00 and do not know what I am going to do when I travel next.
