Coinbase

My husband tried to send me bitcoin from his coinbase account to transfer money from bitcoin to our bank account. When I clicked on the email to accept, thinking it would take me to my online bank so I could deposit the money, it asked me to open my Coinbase account or create one. I reluctantly opened the account, but when I went back to accept the transfer, it wouldn't let me. There is no money in my husband's old original account and no money in my new account. I have sent several requests to Coinbase and have not received any help resolving the issue. The last support stated that the money would be returned to the sender's account if not accepted. This did not happen. It's not a huge amount, but it's our money and it's gone and they don't seem to care. Someone has it, and I suspect it's the company. It's almost impossible to open an error message… it's the hardest error message system to use.
I think coinbase is a fraudulent operation and I don't know what to do now. Does anyone have any suggestions!
