I had a front tooth that chipped back in April of this year. I normally go to Familia being its one of the few places that takes my insurance. Well, first visit in early May was a consult. I get an appt for 18 xrays on May 8th. Get the xrays taken and was given an appt for June 21 to get the chipped tooth crowned and the permanent crown put in on July 19. Well, the tooth chipped a bit more so I went to another dentist and paid out of pocket which I expected. Whole tooth was done in 10 days. I go to Familia today to get the fillings done and when the dentist there found out the front tooth was done she told me she couldn't finish anything else like the fillings since I had gone to a different dentist znd they would have to do it. Plus I have TMJ and had a flare up in April for a month. I asked her what I could take for the pain and she replied ARE U SURE U HAVE TMJ? MAYBE ITS JUST UR CAVITIES. The Tmj was diagnoised years ago by a different dentist. So She says just take Tylenol. If I want anything else I need an appt. I have had other issue there but today was the last straw. I will go back. I found a dentist who will take my insurance but now have to cross state lines to get it done. I am very disappointed in Familia and will not go back.
