Chili Flavored Soup

1

I've eaten Wolf Brand No Beans Chili my entire life; 64 years. We currently buy one case of this Chili a month.... but not for a stand alone "Big Thick Steaming Bowl of Wolf Brand Chili. It is used as an additive or flavoring. This stuff is no longer thick. If you put it on a bun, eat it quick or it will turn your bread soggy. I can crush a whole tube of Townhouse Crackers into a single bowl, one can, of WB Chili and thoroughly moisten all the crackers. As to the chunks of beef..... long gone. Once upon a time you had to chew this chili...not any more. Now it works out for me because I can barely chew anything tougher wet cheerios. I feel the taste is still there...not as defined as it once was but enough to remembered fondly. The nostalgia of "Death Valley Days" is still there but not the hearty beefy reason for buying this chili. For the first time in my life I'm making my own chili, for stand alone eating, and shopping for a replacement to Wolf Brand. I'm even trying to find clone recipes that I can beef up; but no luck so far. To those who have grown old with wolf brand chili and and have bid it adieu, I mourn with you..
