Costco is one of my favorite stores but Ive learned that it supports the cruel and I humane farming/slaughtering of chickens and cows. The $4.99 roasted chicken is a customer favorite. I cant imagine anyone would complain about paying $5.99 if it meant the chickens would receive better treatment. Costco is a major buyer of beef. If it demanded better treatment for cows for a small price increase it would be a game changer for the animals. I hope that Costco will continue be forward looking and environmentally sensitive.
