Chevrolet paint

I have a 2003 Chevrolet silverado. I have very low miles and have not mis tr= eated the vehicle. The paint is chipping and the clear coat is peeling. I we= nt to a dealership and asked if it was normal and was told it was not. I was= the. Told there was nothing they could do by another employee and was cover= ed 2 years and was normal. I don't understand how that could be normal with p= aint doing that. If that's the case why would I trade it in on a new Chevrol= et if it was going to chip again in years. I expect a good truck with a good= paint job and good running. What can you recommend that I do. I would like t= o be a future customer but if Chevrolet is not going to back there trucks up= why wouldn't I get a different brand? I can send pictures if needed. Thank= you for your time
