Check people isn’t what you think

1

I needed to see a previous address for myself for tax filing reasons. I subscribed for $1.00 so that I can see my reports. Well, bad idea! After you sign up for the $1.00 subscription, that you have five days to cancel so that you won't be charged, you will be charged anyway. This is not a hold: it is a flat out charge that is deducted from your bank. They also require that you call their customer service line to cancel. I canceled this service in less than an hour of paying the trial offer- only to find out that I had been charged anyway. And the report? The report isn't released to you until you sign up for another service to actually see your report. Now- I am going to watch my account like a hawk, and I am going to make sure they did not opt me in for any other services. User's recommendation: Do not use check people- at all. They will not show your report until you sign up for additional services. They will not wait the five days to charge your bank account. They will charge it right away and say that it is a hold.
