Check engine light

1

I scheduled service for my check engine light. they replaced the EGR valve. That didn't fix the problem. I called and called and it took 3 weeks to get another mechanic out to replace the EGR Modulator. It took about 6 phones calls and 2 weeks to get them to honor the warranty. However, 3 mechanics in a row stood me up. One finally kept an appointment that I had to make over the phone with customer service after the same mechanic was a no show for the previous appointment. I wasn't at home when he came but he supposedly replaced the EGR modulator. Well, I looked at the modulator and it's the same one that's been in the truck since inception. He did not replace it but said he did. AND he said my check engine light was on, even though he couldn't tell that because the battery is was dead, he couldn't have started it! At this point I'm done with them. I'll find another mechanic.
