Cheap insurance, terrible customer service and terrible website for consumer use.

I have an agency that I have worked with for a while now when buying insurance. They found State Auto to be the best price so I went with it. They said they were sending the documents to sign and I would receive them in a few minutes of getting off the phone...…..Three days later I still had not received my documents after several more calls and two months I finally got access to print my insurance cards. Their website is awful and very limited with the things you can do. You can not see your coverages the only thing you can do is pay them......that feature works very well and look get a print out of your insurance card. Fast forward to when I found better coverage and canceled. I called to cancel my policy the representative on the phone answered what can I do for you. I explained that I needed to cancel my policy after a condescending oh because you got other coverage and the explanation that I would be receiving an e-mail to reply back to. He proceeded to explain to me in a very condescending manner that if I did not reply back to the email that my policy would still be in place and laughed at me. Then said good bye. I would not recommend State Auto. You would be better off paying the extra money with a better company.
