I cannot stress enough to watch out for the contract! It does not have YOU "the buyers" interest at all. You will not have recourse. Their legal counsel are chomping at the bit to ruin you if you even think about questioning this builders practices once you are in contract. READ READ READ the reviews out there folks! They are there for a reason. A reputable builder would never, ever disrespect potential buyers the way this organization does. There are no solutions when dealing with this builder. The Better Business Bureau alone has over 200 complaints logged against Meritage Homes. I am praying for some type of class action to come in the future.
