Charged twice with no item shipped

After one month of waiting for one item, I called the company and was told the item was ready to ship and would arrive in 10-14 days. After that call, I saw my debit card had been charged AGAIN for the item. I called back and tried in vain to get the “Customer Service rep” to understand what had transpired. I finally spoke with a woman who assured me that the charge was “pending” as the item hadn’t shipped. I asked about the second charge and she told me that was just a reference to the call and that no monies had been taken out of my account. This was completely erroneous as the same charge HAD been taken out twice! The Massachusetts State Attorney General needs to check this company out. It’s bogus.
