Charge for Time Slot Delivery
*SOLVED

3

Ordered a simple item like an Ironing Board from Asda Direct paid for a specific Time Slot, waited in for the item and no show, I telephoned the helpline which is in South Africa, they have no idea what has happened I have been charged for this item and the delivery, I asked for a refund of the delivery charge and like other consumers was told 5-7 days, it remains to be seen whether I get his or not, no confirmation email has been sent to me to confirm. The item should have been delivered yesterday, Asda Direct are not available for comment in this Country, it appears there is no comeback whatsoever, something should be done to protect consumers from this type of abuse of time and money. I am sure the item has been placed with couriers and is awaiting delivery but when? and why do Asda Direct encourage you to tick a time slot and pay for it when they have no intention or control of meeting this criteria. Once again a big company hides behind a foriegn Telephone Complaints. I will never shop with Asda online again until they move their Telephone helpline to UK and give some British Jobs to the people that make them rich. I would suggest anybody who needs to shop online first telephones the company helpline to ascertain where they are and if they are not in UK - shop with a company that has a helpline in the coutry of origin, only by doing this will we ensure fair trade and more jobs in our own Country.
