Carburetor I received has been found to be faulty after installation.

I ordered a carburetor part number C9549 for my 197* *** back in March of 2021. The mechanic I had working on my vehicle became ill and gas not been able to install it until just last week. As a result of the installation it was found that the carburetor has a secondary shaft leak and is not sealing properly. I would like to return it to exchange or have this one rebuilt. I realize that there is a 90 day warranty but under the circumstances I feel this part should be replaced. Please advise. Thank you. User's recommendation: I would recommend to future customers even though I’m having issues with the carb.
