I had to replace my hard drive - so I tried to download my files from Carbonite. I noticed right away that my genealogy file -5 years of work - was missing. What i found out was that because I had a file with too long a name in a completely different file area - Carbonite indiscriminately deleted files in lots of other areas of the computer even though those files had short names. THIS SERVICE IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY and I am the real loser with so much lost of data. DO NOT TRUST CARBONITE.
