Cant get or send calls or texts

For over a year I've had safelink wireless and have always love the service. however I recently had to buy a new phone, no problem switching phones nothing was wrong for over 3 weeks then suddenly I go to make a very important phone call to my son and I get a message saying "oh no you are out of minutes" so I try to text him k owing I'm on a lifeline 100% free unlimited program that isn't dur to be renewed until January 2021. I get a message blocking is active message. Upon calling safe link 20 times over the last week just to be told to shut my phone off and turn it back on a zillion times and to be transferred to somebody I have yet to speak to cuz the call is always disconected at that point I finally gave up and canceled my lifeline service and now have no way to stay in touch with anybody at all. This is crap service at best. Maybe usa should hire Americans to work lifeline customer service centers keep our government programs within our government ya know User's recommendation: RUN FAST DONT LOOK BACK.
