Maverik Adventure Club on about 1950 West and California Avenue in SLC Utah At about 12:05 a.m. on September 15th 2019- I stopped to purchase gas and snacks, but, the whole time I was at the counter, I was spoken to rudely by the cashier. He was short with me and, although I was trying to be friendly and up beat, I didn't even get a hint of a smile! (Which, in that job, he should be doing at least %90 of his 8 hour shift!!!) All I DID get in return was a snarky attitude, sarcastic remark (which, in this case, worked perfectly to imply that he was sivk of dealing with idiots in the most painfully obvious way possible... which was embarresing no matter how ridiculous and untrue...) from a pimply 20 something year old who looks like he just wants to get back to something more important! So once again, I'll say something I say almost everyday when I encounter somebody like this guy : If you can't be nice, like, ever, DO NOT get a customer service job! Its all in the name. And if you're an employer, you may want to VET these soon to be emlloyees a little bit better… maybe say, make sure that they smile at least sometimes and that they can get through one 2 minute transaction without rolling their eyes and scoffing. I should open a "Get your Free Common Sense here! Everyone should have some!"
