My car no longer needed Carshield coverage, as I no longer have the car. I called the day when I noticed a withdrawal from my account that the next months premium was taken. I called Carshield and spoke with a customer care rep, I was made aware I would not be refunded for a car that I no longer have. It was literally the very next day. You also pay for the month in advance, so I was unsure as to why they could not or would not refund my premium and I no longer have the car. In essence Carshield just got a free 30-day premium from me. User's recommendation: Cancel a monoth in advance or the day of the incident.
