Cancellation of appointment without notification

My appointment was scheduled for 2pm 30th Sep,2020 in European Wax Center - 12536D Olive Blvd, Creve Coeur, MO 63141. I reached there by 2:10 due to unexpected traffic and then I called them to let me in since its COVID times. Here is the conversation: Me: "Hi I have an appointment" Receptionist: (Without asking my name)Hello, sorry we cannot let you in since you are late by 10 min and our policy is to book another appointment if the customer is late by 9 min. (This means this was planned that they did not want to take this appointment anyways) Me: I was like ok, since I am late, atleast I can get one service instead of two, as I booked for two services. Receptionist: No! Another person booked the appointment 4 min ago for 2:15. (She contradicted her own statement by not waiting for me till 2:09 also. Because as per her she booked another appointment at 2:06pm for the same person who was suppose to take care of my waxing) Me: Really, Ok I will wait for 2:15 and see if the other person is coming and if the other person does not turn in, I will get in for my service. Receptionist: Actually, there is no appointment but there is a meeting at 2:15pm. PS( I was right outside the EWC and saw my lady with whom I had booked the appointment, moving towards the food joint next to EWC). Me: You are lying, there is no such policy. If there is, then what happens when we are on time and you guys delay by 15-20 min. Receptionist: I understand but this is how it works. Me: And how can you cancel my appointment without notifying? Receptionist: (Confused what to say) Oh this is rescheduling. Come at 2:45pm or some other time. Now it's not possible. Then few more argument for me trying to get my service and she is insisting on rescheduling. Now here are my complaints: First, I don't mind rescheduling if you call me much ahead of time. I am right outside the EWC and you saying to reschedule? Second, Why you lieing by giving lame reason which do not make sense? Third, Do you think I am free to do this? Fourth, Since I have packages booked with you and I am a loyal customer so this is how you will behave. Once my package is over, I am surely not coming back to EWC. User's recommendation: If you have free time go to this place and waste it.
