Cancel booking due to covid

I made a booking for one night at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort (31 Jul - 1 Aug), but Queensland Statement Government health officials have now announced there will be a COVID-19 related lockdown in the local government area of Gold Coast (where the hotel is located and the same area that I reside in), effective today at 4pm. I am seeking a full refund and free cancellation for my booking, as this is a public health-related cancellation.
