Can’t use app funds

Went to pay bill at Wawa and their app requested me to login which I did. Over and over again but nothing. Tried resetting password and that proved to be a waste of time. Looks like my funds are useless. Guess I’ll just use Quick Check across the street and use debit card and no more store cards that steal your funds.
