Can’t play NBA 2k 18 on my Xbox One

I had to reinstall NBA 2k 18 because I uninstalled it recently to free up storage. So I wanted to play it again and I installed it than I went to the game and the message said Downloading Game Updates and it hasnt done anything since then and it prompts to press A and that doesnt work. I have restarted my Xbox and reinstalled the game and nothing seems to work what else can I do to play the game?
