Can not pay online with a valid debit card

My boyfriend has had MetroPCS for the 3 years we´ve been together and has never had a problem paying his bill online until 4 months ago. Every time his perfectly valid card is input in the payment it says invalid. He has tried to pay on the desktop, on his phone, on my BOOST MOBILE phone (who everyone here should switch to) and every time it says his debit card is invalid. We both talk on the phone in the living room and his calls are always dropped while mine are not. I believe this is a ploy for Metro to suck $3 extra dollars from you and make you waste your time paying in a store. Customer service has been no help with the issue and neither has anyone at the store. This will be his last month with Metro Piece of Crap as he will be switching to the MUCH SUPERIOR BOOST MOBILE. He also was late to work today because he couldn´t use his phone to get his Uber.
