Can not get replacement filters

When looking to replace my hepa filter on my Hoover upright vacuum cleaner, I discovered the filters are no longer made and my vacuum is not going to work without filters. Its not like the vacuum is old and is otherwise working! When I called customer service they said I would need to buy a new vacuum and offered 15% discount. User's recommendation: Buy up parts.
