Camshaft position sensor needs replacing

I have a 2013 ats that is throwing p0017. I’m not a mechanic but I know where this sensor is. However I’m not sure what the devise that is on the bracket that covers or at least makes it more difficult to remove the bolt holding the sensor. This bracket is held by two bolts.
