Came in for an annual clean – left w/ no cleaning and $1800 quote

Aspen Dental I had an appt at the Hixson TN location on 01.09.21. I spoke to the front desk PRIOR and advised I needed an annual cleaning and exam. following the exam I asked about the cleaning. I was given a "rate sheet" that said I would owe $1800 and they wouldn't perform am annual cleaning, that I needed other work and it's not covered under my dental insurance (Humana). I've been going to dentist my entire life and NEVER heard that dentist dont recommend annual cleanings. I am contacting my insurance and ADA to question this practice and policy.
