My husband and I rented a townhouse in Winchester Va from Cambridge Realtors. The home address was 2903 Sorrell Court Winchester Va 22601. My husband rented the place for about a year and after the year lease was up they allowed him to rent month to month. Anthony stayed about 6 extra months (doing a month to month) The rental people called us and required us to sign another year lease, however the place was too small so Anthony told them that we had moved back and we were looking for another place. They sent us an eviction notice and gave us 30 days to get out. We found another place and we called them and told them that we would be leaving prior to the date they had requested. They told us that we were fine to move early; so we planned our move. We moved out on the August 15th 2012. We cleaned the entire home from top to bottom even vacuuming out drawers. About 2 weeks after we left we called back and had to leave a message regarding when the walk around would be so we could be there. We called at least 10 times and every time the realtor was either out at a meeting or not available to speak to. We left many messages without getting any response. I then decided to go by the office and return the mailbox and house key. At that time the lady Cheryl was there and she said they had already done the walk around with out letting us know anything. She said everything looked good except they smelled smoke in the home, I explained we did not smoke in the home, but that the moving people may have smoked when they moved us out. Cheryl told us that they may have to clean carpets, I explained I had a carpet Shampooer and I would be happy to come clean the carpets if they were not up to their approval. I left the lady my number and she said she would let me know if I needed to comeback and clean. A few weeks went by and we still had yet to hear back from them regarding the return of our deposit. Anthony called and spoke to Cheryl 11-9-12 at 10:45 am.Cheryl told Anthony that they had to clean carpets and the walls and some other crazy things. She said we would only be getting a refund of 100.00. This company should go out of business treating people like they do. I have never been treated so poorly. They down right Stole from us!!!
