We have nothing but good to say about this company, it employees and contractors. The tour exceeded out expectations in every category. The personal attention provided at each step was exemplary. Our guide, Patrick, was entirely attentive without be intrusive, was very knowledgeable and had clearly done his homework resulting in an extensive inventory of local contacts. We missed an Air Canada flight due to a computer glitch, but the company ensured we were met on our arrival in Rome, ensured an orderly transfer for a domestic flight and provided comfortable personal transportation to our hotel. The hotel was well appointed, clean and quiet and staff attended our needs with dispatch. English was not a problem as there always seemed to be someone available who had a good command of our mother tongue. The rooms were well appointed, clean, comfortable beds, smallish , but pleasant balconies. The dining room offered a full menu focusing on local cuisine. The food was well prepared and there was lots of it. The tours were as advertised, well organized and well presented. The were a number of unadvertised events as a welcome bonus. Extra tours were available at additional yet reasonable cost. Wi-Fi was not great. The hotel was within walking distance of the downtown shopping area. The personal attention provided by the company in general and the tour director in particular was very welcome and took so much worry and fuss out of travel. The price and quality of experience will certainly result in our travelling with Senior Discovery Tours again and we hope often. While our first time with SDT, we met others on our tour who have used the company multiple times, on lady who was on her 15th tour with SDT. From intial planning to return home we found nothing with SDT that was a piss-off!
