Buyers beware – no support for KYK alkaline water filters 30000
1
I purchased KYK 30000 in 2010 and it failed after 7 years of service. Now it can't be repaired. The agent who sold it to me doesn't respond and the company didn't respond to my inquiries about parts purchase or the device service. It looks like they want to sell products but are unwilling to do repairs once it fails. It appears to me that the $1525 spent on this was a wasted money. It turns out that it may be cheaper to buy bottled alkaline water than this. 1525/7= $217 per year. For 217 dollars annually I could buy 8 cases of alkaline water from Walmart. That's 8 times 24 bottles = 192 bottles of alkaline water 20 oz each. It would probably be enough for me to cover my annual alkaline water use. Anyway - be careful what product you buy and verify first if your filter is repairable. Don't let them stuff you with a non-serviceable device like mine. Make sure the device you want has service centers in the US and that they are easily available to you with phone and address information.
