Well I have to say I have been trying to stay positive about my experience . Unfortunately, today was the last straw. Design Consultation 12/21/18 - Michael G was prompt and showed up on time. Just like all salesmen he was friendly. We designed the closet that I desired (showed him my inspiration photo) and decided despite the high cost (I am sure due to overhead; all the people in the chain to be paid). I was worth it to pay for it...initially. I was able to get my installation date for 1/19/18. I was excited and couldn't wait. Prior to installation date, I did my own demo of the closet even though it stated on the contract that they will do the work but are not responsible for damage even though they will take care. I wanted to paint so did on my own. Installation day 1/19/18 - Showed up on time at the start of my 2 hour window and began the install. The installers were friendly and nice. However, there was a problem during the install. The measurements on one side were not correct due to the design. Although I am not a designer and I don't know where int he process it got messed up, the design called for 35" section. However, the actual spacing should have been 32" to account for the wood panels installed in the space. I am not sure if this should have been done at design or when manufacturing the shelves/drawers. Additionally, I wanted my closet to be floor to ceiling. The measurements in the design are at 95" h, however the system they installed is 94" leaving a 1.5 inch gap. I politely contacted Closet World to explain the design measurements were wrong/off and they put me in contact with a manager (who was rude) who I spoke to about the correction. He said he would contact me the following Monday to schedule the fix. I also contacted the designer who also help me out and contacted the supervisor about the issue and what was needed to resolve the gap from system to ceiling (filler)???. On Wednesday 1/24/18 I didn't receive a call on the Monday so I called for a status. Apparently there was a mistake on the phone number listed which is why I didn't receive the call but that i was tentatively scheduled for 1/30/18 window 9a-11a. I also am having new floors installed in my closet as well so I coordinated the scheduling. RESCHEDULED day 1/30/18 - Received a call at 8am informing me that they had to cancel because someone called in sick (hmmm sounds familiar, i think i remember reading the majority of these reviews). Now I have to reschedule the floor install until they finish the work. Also, she stated they would have to contact me LATER to reschedule. WHY, you have me on the phone now, look at your calendar and reschedule. CLOSET WORLD IF YOU READ THIS: In order to resolve this issue YOU NEED to; 1. Reschedule for Feb 19 in the morning on the day I am already off work and don't need to take more time off because of the mistakes of your company. 2. Install at your expense crown molding instead of filler to cover the gap. Which I am sure is a small expense considering what you charged me for the closet (maybe $25 with labor/materials) for less than 8 linear feet. 3. DO NOT CANCEL AGAIN!!! I cannot reemphasize this enough. I'm still waiting for a call back but will post updates.
