I have a Gettington store card that has had a zero balance for a few years, always was in good standing, never a late payment. Then a few months ago they started sending me letters & emails constantly saying that if I did not make a purchase before October, they were closing my account. I finally gave in & made an overpriced purchase just to keep my FICO score from taking a 30 point plunge over a closed credit card. 15 days after that purchase, I'm receiving the same threatening emails & letters again. Stay away from this card, I have never experienced anything like this with any other store card in my entire life. Shop Amazon, same stuff, half the price.
