Broken tv screen

I bought a Visio 65 inch V series tv on June 21,2020. It was bought as a house present for a remodeled family room. I didn't open tv until remodel job was finished and they were ready to hang tv on August 1st, 2020. The screen on tv was broken. So I took it back to where it was purchased. And was told I had just missed my return to store window. So I would have to contact the manufacturer. So I contacted Vizio and was told they don't cover damaged caused during shipping and I should have checked my purchase before the 30 day window expired. Then the rep said the best they could do is give me a 20 percent off coupon for a future purchase off their website. Really I'm out like 552 dollars and you offer me a freaking coupon. Yeah *** *** very much.
