Broken device

Bought brand new. Used 1 time about 2 months ago. Battery died in my truck. Hook it up and it says to connect cables to battery. Hook cables to the battery and it still says to hook cables to the battery. Will not charge anything User's recommendation: Buy the cheapest one you can since you can only use it once.
