Brightstar refuses to exchange the broken device they sent me!

My phone, a samsung s7 edge was covered under warranty through Brightstar. The battery would no longer hold a charge so I contacted Brightstar on July 18th, 2019. They sent me a replacement on August 2nd, 2019. I was on vacation at the time so the phone waited at my door for 2 days before I arrived home. When I opened the box to examine the replacement phone, I discovered the phones microphone did not work and the screen was badly damaged with screen burn. I contacted Brightstar and told them that the phone they sent me was damaged and I could not even make a call with it due to the non functional microphone. They refused to replace the phone stating that after receiving the device there is a 24 hour window to report any defects with the phone and that I was stuck with a non-functional device. I explained that as a customer I was never notified of this "24 hour window" by any associate that worked for Brightstar. They told me that they did not need to inform the customer of this rule. I asked to speak to a supervisor and after explaining my situation to him, was told the same thing. A 24 hour window to report any damage for a used phone is simply shady business practices. Avoid Brightstar at all costs! They are scam artists!
