American Legion Mayhew-Vincent White Cane Post 266 recieved a complaint from several employees if their Post Commander sexually harrassing them. After the Commander agreed to never treat women that way again he did just the opposite. The commander sexually harrassed an employee again. Upon notifying the Board of Directors, nothing was done except provide an apology letter where all the board of directors signed and acknowledged the incident for prior complaints and the current complaint. Again, nothing done except retaliation and harassment for months and the whole time pushing the employee to quit. Employee kept working under the dreadful and unbearable conditions and was ultimately wrongfully terminated via email by the so called commander who wasnt properly installed as commander. This Post doesnt follow any california non profit laws nor does it follow any of the rules per their constitution and by laws. In fact, they chose to pay for a very expensive attorney using restricted donated funds. Funds that were intended for specific programs. Do not donate to this non profit and do not join this non profit veterans organization. They have the same board members from over 10 years ago. Ask them to see their meeting mins. They dont take meeting mins. and think that people cant ask them for them because they claim they are sensitive documents people cant and shouldnt ask for.
