Blue Glasses – blue comes off with water

Ordered blue bottom shot glasses. Glasses were dusty when received, I tried to wash them with mild dishwashing soap and warm water. Nothing abrasive. Blue bottoms came off in my hands - apparently you can't get the shot glasses wet. VERY UNHAPPY!
