Black screen on tv

I have been unable to reach Panasonic. The screen stayed grayed out for 9 hours. I read all suggestions, unplug from the wall at least 20min, turn off and on. Thank you for your time. The tv is 6yrs old and a new one is on the horizon. User's recommendation: Everything nowadays is a throw away, so spend cheap.
