Billing me for membership I didn’t authorize & can’t get any customer service

1

I was notified of an unusual charge to my MasterCard account and it was for a subscription to The Daily Beast. I didnt authorize this nor do I want it. As a victim of identity theft ALL of my (credit card) accounts are aware of the types of things I would purchase and subscriptions and memberships are NOT one of them so theyve canceled the card and Im trying to reach someone at the Daily Beast to have them either stop the pending payment or return the full amount of the payment before I go to the FBI & report yet another cyber crime against my finances (which they consider a federal offense). Only way to reach someone is to login and I dont have a membership, dont want one so do not want to waste my time requesting to change a password I never set (&; I dont want doing that to appear like I have or want the membership theyre trying to charge me $35 for). If I was a member, trying to contact customer service and getting aggregation instead would make me cancel it anyway so its only proving my point as to WHY I didnt authorize any payment. User's recommendation: Do not sign up for any trials, newsletters & be careful even reading any articles offered by them or they might automatically sign you up for something and take your money too!
