Billed twice for same trip

I paid twice for the same trip my mother required. After I checked with the bank ledger, I noticed that I paid for it twice. I've made 5 calls and a detailed letter to AMR explaining this and they finally agreed that there were two checks cashed and would open an investigation with their accounting department. This was 3 months ago and they still haven't contacted me. I may have to take them to court.
