Beware when ordering with “curside” delivery!

I wanted to order a fireplace that I have had my eye on for over a year. I used live chat to get an idea of when to expect delivery after placing the order. Three live chats, a phone call and email and I never got an answer to my question. BUT I did learn that besides being charged a standard shipping fee and an $80 truck delivery fee that there was a third fee not listed on the product details page nor the shopping cart or at any time during checkout. It is NOT "curbside" delivery. The trucker will not take it off the truck. The customer must climb up onto the truck and get the item off themselves AND they cannot use the liftgate to lower the item to the ground without paying an ADDITIONAL $50! Customer service is atrocious, unprofessional, in serious need of training and basically a waste of time. I did not believe what I was being told so I opted to clarify this via email. This was the reply I received... "This item will be shipping through motor freight delivery and you will be required to remove this item from the truck yourself unless you pay that $50 lift fee. There also will be an additional $80 shipping charge because of the way that item ships."
