Beware of False Promises
1
I contracted with Albuquerque Singles on January 27, 2017. When I met my first referral, I realized I had been foolish in having anything to do with Albuquerque Singles. The referral was totally uninterested in hiking, which I had indicated to the company was one of my primary interests. She was totally sedentary while I am totally into exercising and physical fitness. This woman bemoaned having signed with Albuquerque Singles. She said, "the money is gone, so that;s that." My later referrals were consistently mismatches with women with whom I had little or nothing in common. At some point, I decided that I could only hope to be a friend with one of the matches. But even that never happened. Instead, I was matched with women having no interest in anything I was interested in and which I had told Albuquerque Singles about. One of the most aggravating practices of the company is its refusal to allow a member to see a photo of a referral. It allows matching of people who have no physical attraction toward the referral. The company also discourages any talk about religion or politics during a meeting with a referral. Apparently, Albuquerque Singles believes neither of those subjects could ever possibly arise during the course of a relationship. It seems as though company policy is to depict relationships as totally apart from the real world where people have different ideas and there is never any conflict. Personally, I want to know where a woman stands politically and on religion. I tried repeatedly to make my preferences in these areas known to Albuquerque Singles. Unfortunately, the matchmakers routinely ignored my preferences. Finally, two and half years after I regrettably signed the contract involving thousands of dollars, I was again matched with someone diametrically opposed to my political and religious views. I sent a stinging letter to Albuquerque Singles in which I cancelled any further matchmaking. This has been a bitter and expensive mistake on my part. I would warn anyone contemplating joining Albuquerque Singles to reconsider. Joining will almost certainly lead to frustration, regret and remorse.
