Airport Rentals is a company located in New Zealand that comes up when you want to rent a car. The website is located at ttp://www.airportrentals.com They provide information about all the cars that are available at the airport that you request. Then they give you quote. However, this quote is completely wrong. In my case they quoted $ 150.00 but the bill when I really rented the car was $ 315.00, more than twice the amount that I thought I was going to pay to the car company which was named Fox. Not only that but they ask you for your credit card information and the objective is to charge you car insurance. You feel that you are purchasing the car insurance that will go with the car rental you just rented right? No, that is not the way it works. This New Zealand company sells you a third party insurance that has nothing to do with the rental car company you are hiring. Then they charge you for this car insurance and you have to deal with the car rental when you get to your destination. Also, when I got to my car rental and figured out what was going on I tried to get my car insurance from the car rental directly and not from this New Zealand intermediary. I called the company to cancel but there was no way you could cancel the insurance. Finally the car company guy told me he was going to cancel the insurance because in reality it was not necessary and nobody knew how you could file a claim if something happened. There was no policy, no nothing.
