Behere is a rental/work experience that caters specifically to women who want to live in a different country/city every month. They "secure" you a rental and work space. Here is my experience with them (Please keep in mind, I'm an experienced realtor who has worked with renters, buyers and sellers) 1. I rented an apartment/work space in Barcelona for one month from Behere. 2. Two days before I'm supposed to move in, they call me and tell me the apt is not available but there is another apt that is for $7,000.00 USD (I'd already paid them $2,400 for the apt and work space I was supposed to move into). A $5,000 up charge, are you kidding me? This appeared to be a bait and switch tactic, switch out for something more expensive I said no, so they found me another apt for $200.00 more. It was in the ghetto area of Barcelona called Poblenau, The apt was old and dirty in a run down building. The AC wasn't working for 3 wks, the Fridge wasn't working for 2 wks that I was there even though I was paying for all of this) The original work space was miles away from my original location, meaning I had to PAY for ANOTHER work space independently . I couldn't get anyone to make AC repairs and then found out that Behere is a 4th party! Meaning they didn't know the owner, and that THEY WERE SUBLETTING through a company called Hostmakers. So I physically had to go to Hostmakers offices and complain about the AC and Fridge. Hostmakers told me that they had never heard from Behere about these problems. Long story short, the AC and Fridge were repaired 1 week before I was set to leave the apt. While they made the repairs, the workman, standing on the toilet broke the toilet while pulling a light out of the ceiling to fix the AC. I spent the last week and half, sitting on the rim of the toilet because the seat had been broken by the workman with a light fixture swinging inches from my face every time I had to use the facility. I then I asked for a partial refund from Behere,because I DIDNT GET ANYTHING THAT I HAD PAID FOR but they said I'd have to go through Hostmakers. Hostmakers said they couldn't give me a refund because id booked through Behere. Behere totally dropped all responsibility (they just grabbed my money and ran) I never got reimbursed for the services I'd paid for. Worst experience ever.
